Fuse.net Email Service Login Setup Guide

    Fuse.net is a popular email service that is often used to create personal accounts. The purpose of FuseNet is to coordinate and facilitate fusion education, share best practices, co-develop educational tools and organize educational events. The members of FuseNet have jointly defined the academic criteria for awarding the Doctorate and Masters certificates in European Fusion. These criteria have been set to promote a high level of fusion education across Europe.

    Step by Step FUSE.NET email server configuration: POP and SMTP

    Consider the following POP and SMTP email configuration from FUSE.NET. These settings can help you set up your email account in any of the popular email clients.      FUSE.NET email account on your Android Phone

    Step 1: Start by selecting the Mail icon on the application screen. Enter the email address and email password. Select Manual setup.

    Step 2: Select POP.

    Step 3: If yes POP is selected, make sure you enter the settings below and click Next.

    POP server: pop.fuse.net

    Security type: None

    Port: 110

    Secure: Port: 993

    Security Type: SSL/TLS

    Insecure: Port: 110

    Security Type: None

    Step 4: Type the following outgoing SMTP Enter Settings for FUSE.NET and click Next Select

    SMTP server: smtp.fuse.net

    Security type: None

    Port: 25

    The following are general SMTP port settings

    Outgoing (SMTP)

    Secure – Port: 465

    Security Type: SSL/TLS

    Outgoing (SMTP roaming server)

    Secure – Port: 587

    Security Type: SSL/TLS

    Outgoing (SMTP) – Port: 25

    Security Type: None

    Outgoing (SMTP Roaming Server )

    Insecure – Port: 587

    Security Type: None

    Step 5: Select Done.

    Congratulations! You are done here and you can use your email account on your Android phone.

     FUSE.NET email account on your iPhone

    Step 1: Select the Settings icon on your start screen.

    Step 2: Select email.

    Step 3: Select Accounts.

    Step 4: Select Add Account.

    Step 5: Select Other in the menu.

    Step 6: Select add email account.

    Step 7: Enter your name, email address, and password, then click Next.

    Step 8: Select POP. After that, you need to drag it down to Incoming Server and enter all relevant details. Then, for the outgoing mail server, do the same as given below, then select Next.

    The hostname of the incoming mail server is pop.fuse.net

    The hostname of the outgoing mail server is SMTP.fuse .net

    Step 9: You may get a message asking you to check your incoming and outgoing servers. You can either click Next for each one or tap Details and then Trust.

    Step 10: Save.

    Step 11: Select the new account you just created.

    Step 12: Select the SMTP Server.

    Step 13: Tick the SMTP settings and click Done.

    The outgoing server hostname for FUSE.NET is smtp.fuse.net

    Username: FUSE.NET full email address

    Password: Your Email Password

    Use SSL is enabled. You can also disable it and use the correct port number as below.

    Outgoing (SMTP)

    Now, it’s all done and you are ready to use your email account on your iPhone.

    Step by Step Procedures for Setting up a FUSE.NET email account in your Apple Mail

    Step 1: Launch the Mail Application Select Email at the top and then Add Account.

    Step 2: You can select automatic email settings for the email accounts used from the and if not you need to select another email account and set up your email account manually.

    Step 3: Enter your details and click then start the session.

    Your name: Write your name. This is the sender name of emails you send from this account

    Email address: Full FUSE.NET email id

    Password: Email account password

    Step 4: Complete the settings as follows and click Start session.

    Email address and username: Your full FUSE.NET email address

    Password: Your FUSE.NET password

    The account type is per account type IMAP or POP setting (IMAP is the default).

    The incoming mail server hostname for FUSE.NET is pop.fuse.net

    The outgoing server hostname for FUSE.NET is smtp.fuse.net.

    For domains still in Transmission or distribution, temporarily use an IP address instead of the server for incoming and outgoing mail.

    Ignore the Account name or account password that could not be verified.

    Step 5 – You need to ignore the 2 Server Identity Messages and then tap Continue. After that, add the certificate to your trust settings to avoid seeing this message in the future.

    Step 6: Select any app> Done.

    You’re done here and ready to use your email account in Apple Mail.
